What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food/Beverage Supervisor position at WinnaVegas Casino Resort?
JOB SUMMARY:
To assist in all operations as they pertain to the Restaurant & Bar, with special emphasis on guest service.
JOB DUTIES:
1.To assist with interviewing, training, developing, counseling and conducting performance
evaluations for all Restaurant, Bar and Snack Bar staff..
2. To assist with providing an on-going training and development-training program.
3. To assist with or prepare weekly service staff schedule.
4. To assign front of the house sidework duties and to monitor their completion.
5. To be aware of and coordinate special events as they pertain to the restaurant & bar.
6. To recommend disciplinary action for front of the house staff.
7. To hold pre-shift meetings with employees to inform them of changes, events or updates.
8. To have responsibility for all daily checkups of overall cleanliness, appearance, function and maintenance of restaurant & bar equipment and furniture, including reporting any problems to the Food & Beverage Manager.
9. To perform daily inspections of staff to maintain uniform standards.
10. To interface with customers, elicit feedback and resolve guest conflicts, to include but not limited to alcohol cut off procedures as trained in TIPS ® training.
11. To prepare for the following shift in order to ensure success.
12. To develop and maintain a consistent standard of service, including developing a permanent set of guidelines.
13. To assist Food & Beverage Manager in seeking out ways to improve guest satisfaction, sales and profits.
14. To control and be responsible for labor cost controls for each shift, including employee performance and overtime control.
15. To be knowledgeable and enforce all Iowa liquor laws to include TIPs certification.
16. Read, understand and adhere to Iowa Gaming Rules & Regulations and Winnebago Tribe Gaming Rules & Regulations.
17. Knowledgeable of the mixology standards of the industry.
18. To assist and / or complete end of the month inventories correctly and in a timely manner.
19. Must attend all training and/or meetings as directed by management.
20. To perform other duties as assigned.

Possesses authority needed to accomplish 1 – 20 above.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Comprehensive computer skills.
- Six months to one year related experience or training.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good organizational and clerical skills required.
- Must be able to obtain gaming license.
- Bi-cultural experience preferred.
- Native American preference.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must have a telephone.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.
