We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team in January of 2025. Typical working hours for this position are , in person , Monday - Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm with generous paid time off.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:
Provides a wide range of Human Resource-related functions to assigned County departments and employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides advice and assistance in employee relation matters to department managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Manages internal and external recruitment efforts, including advertising, interviewing, selection, and onboarding. Conducts evaluations of recruiting strategies, and recommends and implements enhancements to the County’s recruitment and retention efforts.
- Drafts and revises position descriptions as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher learning, preferably in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years’ work experience performing human resources functions, including substantial experience in employee recruiting and onboarding.
- A combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to demonstrate the skills necessary to perform the duties of the position may be considered in place of specific degree or experience requirements
- Handles employee performance and disciplinary matters, including conducting investigations and drafting and administering disciplinary actions.
