Camp Counselor-Winnersville Pickleball

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer filled with adventure and learning. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will lead activities, provide support, and ensure that each child has a memorable camp experience. Ideal candidates should have a passion for working with children and the ability to foster positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with campers in various activities and games including pickleball.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by maintaining a positive environment and adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper needs and progress.
• Assist in managing group dynamics to encourage participation from all campers.
• Provide first aid as needed and maintain health records for campers.
• Collaborate with other counselors to plan special events or themed days throughout the camp session.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, or sports coaching is preferred.
• Background in special education or early childhood education is a plus.
• Strong skills in classroom management to maintain order during activities.
• Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.
• Ability to foster a supportive environment that encourages personal development among campers.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children of various ages.
• A positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working outdoors are essential.

Hours - Mon- Fri 8-12

Pay: $13.72 - $14.67 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
