Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of housing facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Implement and manage programs that promote resident engagement and community building.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and provide appropriate resources or referrals.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements.
- Utilize OneSite software for managing resident information, lease agreements, and maintenance requests.
- Address crisis situations through effective crisis management and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with social service agencies to provide additional support for residents facing challenges such as addiction or mental health issues.
- Facilitate workshops or training sessions on topics such as motivational interviewing and conflict resolution.
- Negotiate lease agreements and handle disputes between residents when necessary.
Skills
- Speaks Somali and English
- Strong background in social work or related fields, with an emphasis on crisis intervention techniques.
- Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs is preferred .
- Proficient in using OneSite or similar property management software.
- Excellent negotiation skills to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance within housing operations.
- Ability to conduct motivational interviewing to assist residents in achieving their goals.
- Experience in addiction counseling or related areas is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
