What are the responsibilities and job description for the WRMS Assistant Principal position at Winnisquam Regional Middle School?
The Winnisquam Regional Middle School is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Assistant Principal for our middle school. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader with a passion for supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth, and will work closely with the Principal, faculty, staff, students, and parents to create a positive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-- Support the Principal in the daily operation of the school, including implementing educational programs, managing staff, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of students.
-- Assist in creating and maintaining a positive school culture and environment.
-- Manage student discipline and conflict resolution in accordance with school policies.
-- Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff performance, providing feedback and professional development opportunities.
-- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments that meet the needs of diverse learners.
-- Support student achievement through data analysis, intervention programs, and individualized student support plans.
-- Promote and communicate school policies and procedures to students, staff, and parents.
-- Work with parents and community members to foster a partnership in the education process.
-- Assist in organizing and overseeing State and Schoolwide assessments.
-- Handle administrative tasks, including attendance, and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
-- New Hampshire Professional Educator License certification in Educational Leadership or Administration
-- At least 3 years of experience in a K-12 school setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (preferred).
-- Strong knowledge of educational best practices, curriculum, and student assessment.
-- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, parents, and the community.
-- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
-- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
-- A passion for supporting middle school students and fostering their academic and personal development.
Contract Length: 12-month 220 day work calendar
Evaluation: Evaluated by the WRMS Principal & Superintendent
