APRIL 2025: The newly renovated and expanded Winnisquam Career Center (WiCC) in Tilton, NH, has an opening for an agriculture teacher. The center has a diversified approach to this particularly wide career pathways including the following unique program strands (students choose one): Animal Care and ManagementOutdoor Recreation and Resources (including forestry)Plant Science and AgricultureVisit www.WiCC-Ed.org to see details of each program and assess which one best aligns to your background and skills. The candidate can start now, or in August.Skilled workers, including career changers with significant industry experience, are ideal career and technical education (CTE) teacher candidates. A degree or current NH teaching license is NOT required for this position.
The State of NH has a well-regarded Site-Based Licensing Plan (SBLP) model, similar to an apprenticeship, where candidates are deemed eligible (NH Statement of Eligibility), apply and are hired, and then start in the classroom with full competitive compensation and benefits. Candidates are supported with professional development to refine their teaching skills and gain licensure over the first three years.The cutting-edge industry-grade lab is brand new, and the class size should be manageable at 13-15 students.
