Landscape Design Sales Representative

WinnScapes, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Landscape Design Build Salesman to fill a Residential Landscape Design/Sales Representative Position. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including the design of hardscapes and outdoor living areas as well as dynamic landscape designs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to walk their property and get a sense of what they hope to achieve and want from a landscape design and installation.
• Prepare design plans using Dynascape Design Software and work through revisions with client based on their feedback.
• Prepare proposals for landscape, hardscape, and other kinds of installations based on landscape design plan. Price plant material and hard-goods from local vendors for best pricing options.
• Coordinates plan installation with production managers once project is sold and deposit obtained
• Oversee project installation, working with production managers, to ensure final product meets and exceeds clients expectations based on plan and proposal.
• Follow up with client on satisfaction with projects and collect payment.
• Participate in all snow removal activities as determined and directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design or Bachelor’s Degree in related field (project planning, horticulture, etc.). Associates in Landscape Design or Horticulture Technology also acceptable.

• 1 - 3 years of professional office experience.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:

• Working knowledge of Dynascape Design Software, preferred. Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp. Dynascape is our preferred software, but we offer training to anyone with previous CAD-type experience. If no experience, please have a list of programs you are proficient at and a strong explanation as to why you would be a suitable candidate for this position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills. This is a sales position as well as design.
• Ability to price/estimate a design and calculate quantity of materials needed.
• General knowledge of landscape plant materials commonly used in the Central Ohio region.
• General knowledge of construction materials (pavers, natural stone, wall stone materials, etc.) and methods of assembly.
• General knowledge of grading and drainage design preferred, but not compulsory.
• Comfortable in working well with a team, as well as, being an individual performer in a fast paced office and in field environment.

Experience and/or education is a must for this position, however if one or the other is lacking, training is available. Salary will be based on level of expertise in the landscape field and ability to perform all aspects of the job that are required.

Essential Position Requirements:

• Regular travel to jobsite required.
• Ability to work additional and/or nonstandard office hours as required, such as the occasional evening/weekend appointment.

JOB SNAPSHOT

Pay: Base salary based on experience and skill set plus sliding scale commission on sold projects.
