Overview:
SECOND SHIFT: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Technician to join our team. As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in our manufacturing processes. If you have a strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining quality standards, we encourage you to apply. Automotive experience is highly preferred!
Support all aspects of coating, finished product, up to and including packaging and shipment. Employee has the responsibility and authority to control quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks given
- Conduct quality audits to assess compliance with established quality systems and procedures
- Ability to complete work instructions issued from the attribute card and plex system instructions.
-_Ability to complete and maintain inspection logs, certificate of conformances, customer specific paperwork, nonconforming tagging, and any required lot control and traceability required for Quality._
-_Pack parts per customer request and assist any employees with packing._
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Fabricate test samples or prototypes for analysis and testing purposes
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures
-Ability to learn, understand and perform calibrations.
-Ability to learn internal auditing if needed.
-Ability to learn nonconforming vs acceptable for an electrocoat system.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and procedures
- Experience conducting quality audits and analyzing data
- Familiarity with QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) principles and practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify deviations or non-conformances
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends or patterns
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as necessary. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend repeatedly during the entire production shift. Additional physical demands include: reaching and occasionally being able to lift up to 60 pounds.
Education / Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Basic computer skills
Ability to learn or read blueprints
Use measurement equipment
