Biewer Sawmill in Winona, MS, is looking for a seasoned Technician to help support automation and technology in the manufacturing world! This person would be responsible for the installation, modification, maintenance, service, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems.
Accountabilities:
· Responsible for the installation, modification, maintenance, service, and repair of industrial systems.
· Complete preventative maintenance programs for control systems and manufacturing equipment.
· Troubleshoot production equipment (motors, switches, starters, and control panel wiring), PLCs, VFDs, motors, switches, starters, and control using electrical, controls, and mechanical aptitude.
· Diagnose repairs and implement process flow improvements to control systems, analog, and digital applications.
· Quote and coordinate electrical projects with vendors, purchasing components, and establish timelines.
Qualifications:
· Two years of formal technical training in the principles of electricity and electrical design, PLCs, or five (5) years of experience in electrical systems in manufacturing.
· Experience in a heavy industrial environment, computer skills, and experience with AutoCAD, Allen Bradley, and Oper8.
· Strong use of Rockwell software to implement, edit, or design logic/code to improve machine performance.
· Basic hydraulic and mechanical knowledge, including Delta RMC (preferred).
· Advanced use of PLC software – Ladder Logic, programming, and troubleshooting.
· HS Diploma or equivalent.
· State electrician licensure or certification desired, and two years of formal technical training in electricity or electrical design.
