Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for a Foundry Supervisor. This role will lead and coordinate foundry operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity needs are met. The Foundry Supervisor will manage Foundry team personnel to achieve company metrics / goals and champion a positive work environment / culture.
Essential Job Functions:
- Drive, coach, empower, & support foundry team personnel to meet performance metrics / goals.
- Understand foundry labor needs and maintain proper workforce necessary to meet production goals while minimizing cost, managing overtime, and ensuring Winsert. complies with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Coach, train, & influence employee behavior & development to meet performance expectations.
- Enforce Winsert policies and rules consistently. Address performance issues and deliver corrective action as needed.
- Accountable for on-time delivery, scrap, and budgetary requirements.
- Accountable for meeting department kaizen goals by driving & supporting foundry team continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate and support daily production flow and adhere to foundry production and operational on-time delivery metrics.
- Communicate regularly with all shift employees to ensure they are informed of all pertinent issues regarding priorities, work schedules, quality issues, etc.
- Drive and support required WIP and safety stock as required to meet customer demand and minimize operating costs.
Secondary Job Functions:
- Conduct performance reviews of all direct reports.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of new employees.
- Schedule and conduct foundry shift meetings.
- Attend functional department meetings and represent the foundry as needed.
- Submit maintenance work orders.
- Perform shift audits and assist in quality-related tasks.
- Purchase inventory & non-inventory supplies for the foundry.

- Must have excellent time management skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements with minimal interruption of normal workflow.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to actively move through production area to work with staff.
- Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen.
- Hearing must be correctable to allow extensive use of telephone and voicemail as well as participate in discussions among large groups.
- Mobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be performed.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Formal leadership training may be provided.
- Prior training and/or experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in foundry manufacturing is preferred.
