Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for a Strategic Sourcing Manager. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop, implement, and execute Winsert’s strategic vision for sourcing and supply chain management. They will negotiate pricing and help select approved suppliers, manage supply chain activities, oversee shipping/receiving, freight/logistics activities, and material storage.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage procurement and sourcing efforts focusing on efficiency, cost control, service, and quality.
- Provide subject matter expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement systems, and contract negotiation, including the identification of new sustainable & responsible sources/programs for goods and services, while providing strategic benefit in cost, quality, responsiveness, and continuity.
- Develop and communicate procurement processes, policies, and guidelines with all Winsert personnel and business units with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction.
- Deliver and report ongoing savings and value as required.
- Implement Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers to foster innovation, drive supplier performance, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Work with supply base on cost reduction ideas and consolidate supply base.
- Monitor market conditions affecting cost and product availability.
- Create key metrics for assessing effectiveness of the supply chain, identify opportunities to increase profit and leverage cost savings.
- Supervise shipping/receiving and storeroom personnel.
Secondary Job Functions:
- Participate in supplier site audits and/or coordinate audits to determine appropriateness and quality of supplier’s product and/or service.
- Understand and maintain compliance with company certifications, quality standards, and individual customer specifications.
- Issue, review, and evaluate quotes and RFQ’s.
- Identify and coordinate sourcing strategies with other businesses and other segments as needed.
- Interface as needed with both the supplier base and management.
- Attend staff, operations, and other meetings as required.
- Fully utilize and maximize Winsert’s ERP system.
- Manage customer conflict mineral reporting.
- Manage trade compliance for duty drawback on imported goods.
- Support shipping/receiving activities for vacation and absence.

- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Experience working in ERP systems.
- Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to actively move through office space to work with staff.
- Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen.
- Hearing must be correctable to allow extensive use of telephone and voicemail as well as participate in discussions among large groups.
- Mobility and coordination must allow participation in shipping and receiving activities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, or inventory management is preferred or
- Equivalent experience in procurement/purchasing in a manufacturing environment 5 years
