Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and passionate Interior Designer, Selections Coordinator & Client Experience Specialist to join our team and assist the Interior Design department in managing project selections. This position will be based out of our Bridgeport Village office in Portland, OR, but will serve projects in all regions across the state. As an Interior Designer and Selections Coordinator, you will collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and the Winsome Team to create safe, functional, innovative, and aesthetically pleasing interior designs that meet the clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. You will play a key role in all stages of the design process and adhere to relevant blueprints, building codes, and inspection requirements, from concept development to project completion. As a Client Experience Specialist, you will also plan and implement personalized client experiences that delight.
Job Responsibilities:- Concept Development and Design:
- Assist the lead Interior Designer and Interior Design department in creating interior design concepts based on an understanding of client goals, requirements, and budgets.
- Analyze blueprints to understand movement and use patterns of the space.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
- Audit selections provided by architects/external interior designers for accuracy and completeness and provide direction as necessary
- Interior Design Budgets:
- Support lead Interior Designer in creating budgets, gathering estimates, and specifying materials based on specific price points within project-specific timelines
- Selection Specification of Materials and Furnishings
- Provide support in researching, selecting, and sourcing appropriate products and materials that meet the design requirements, schedule, client preferences, and project budget.
- Populate and verify that all selection specifications are accurately entered into Buildertrend, and track documentation of selection approvals and changes by clients on an ongoing basis.
- Oversee the installation of materials, fixtures, furniture, and other design elements onsite.
- Procurement
- Assist in placing orders for materials & tracking shipments
- Assist in receiving and inspecting orders
- Authentically Collaborate with Architects, PM’s, SS’s, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Clients
- Attend monthly project review meetings & updates on selections status
- Attend site visits throughout the build and conducts walkthroughs at specific construction milestones
- Attend showroom meetings with clients, architects, interior designers
- Attend final walkthroughs upon project completion
- Provide resolutions to unforeseen issues
- Ongoing support in updating operating processes and procedures, creating new ones and building templates for design department
- Assist in updating design library
- Plan and implement personalized client experiences that delight
- Provide support for office events
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong visual design skills, superior artistic and creative ability, and strong knowledge of design principles, materials, finishes, and construction techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive-related software, able to work in other computer applications, including Buildertrend
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Highly motivated self-starter, able to operate independently and in a team environment
- Proactive in following up with vendors, clients, and team members, etc.
- Strong time management skills

- Bachelors degree in Interior Design, architecture, or a related field is required; coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) is highly preferred
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools preferred
- 5 years of industry experience
- Custom residential design work experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Drive
- Must be able to pass a drug test

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing or maneuvering at active construction sites throughout all seasons of the year
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to distinguish between colors
- Vehicle – Travel will be required to job sites across Oregon. Mileage will be reimbursed. Overnights may be required.
- $65,000- $73,000 Annually, Dependent on Experience
