Join Our Team as an HR Onboarding Specialist
Function: Be the welcoming face and support system for our newest team members! In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure a seamless onboarding experience that sets the stage for long-term success and satisfaction at WinStar World Hotel.
What You’ll Do:
As an HR Onboarding Specialist, your mission is to make every new hire’s journey remarkable. You’ll:
- Create First Impressions That Last: Contact new hires to ensure they’re prepared for orientation and manage all onboarding logistics.
- Lead Inspiring Orientations: Conduct engaging orientation sessions that introduce our culture, values, and expectations.
- Collaborate for Success: Work with department heads to align on new hire needs like uniforms, name tags, and resources.
- Organize and Optimize: Build personnel files, create new hire packets, and ensure seamless electronic filing.
- Champion Communication: Post updates in Beekeeper, assist with login support for platforms like Beekeeper and 1Huddle, and stay connected with new hires.
- Ensure Compliance: Verify background checks, E-Verify, and other onboarding requirements.
- Follow Up and Stay Engaged: Check in with new hires 2-3 weeks after their start date to support their transition.
- Add a Spark to Team Events: Assist in planning and executing employee events that celebrate our incredible team.
- Live the Culture: Embrace and promote the WinStar World Hotel culture in every interaction.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (HR or hospitality experience preferred).
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- A knack for organization, problem-solving, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Passion for connecting with people and helping them succeed.
- Bi-lingual? Even better!
- Familiarity with recruiting programs and social media platforms is a plus.
