Emergency Medicine Physician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team.
About the Role:
- Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations, utilizing expertise in various medical fields.
- Assess and treat patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions in the emergency department.
- Perform essential procedures such as suturing, intubation, and other life-saving interventions.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient encounters.
- Stay updated on current medical practices, research, and advancements in emergency medicine.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Manage cases involving various specialties including but not limited to Dermatology, Hematology, Pulmonology, Oncology, and Pain Management.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to emergency care.
- Experience in ER or urgent care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of emergency medicine.
- Ability to conduct research related to emergency medicine practices is a plus.
Shifts and Volume:
- Physician shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
- Minimum of 5 shifts a month consistently
- Annual Volume: 24,500
- Number of beds: 17
