BOOKKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE: Winter Ridge Natural Foods is looking for a professional, reliable, seasoned Bookkeeper to run the day-to-day bookkeeping operations with clear communication, respect, professional integrity, and autonomy. This will include daily bookkeeping, cash reconciliation, 401k plan, and health insurance plan.
STATUS: Reports to Store Manager/Ownership
STARTING PAY RANGE: $20/hr.-$27/hr.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
BOOKKEEPING Duties and Responsibilities
Collect, organize & post all invoices
Input all accounts payable in a timely manner
Pay all accounts payable in a timely manner
Post and track all accounts receivable including wage draws / send out monthly statements for A/R
Post all hand written checks
Post all daily sales into Winter Ridge accounting system
Post all funds collected into the accounting system
Post all credit card expenses
Keep petty cash bag supplied accurately and post petty cash expenses On a monthly basis complete all posting including fresh departments COG’S, Store Supplies, Store equipment, Owner draws, etc. Import new employees into our payroll system and accounting system Post payroll tax/ calculate & pay monthly sales tax Calculate workers compensation insurance payments and pay in a timely manner Track and make an attempt to collect bad checks
Reconcile A/P’s and A/R’s
Post donations
Produce financial reports monthly and when requested by ownership or store director
Daily Cash Reconciliation and deposits to the bank
Change making
Other Duties Miscellaneous secretarially tasks as needed
Answer the phones when needed Provide top level customer service when needed Attend all staff meetings
Maintain a positive and professional attitude communicate clearly with all departments, ownership, and store director
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience using QuickBooks Minimum 4 years’ experience in retail bookkeeping Ability to work independently and accept feedback Able to multi task and stay positive
Well organized and has an eye for detail Acumen for math and accounting
Must be able to work a schedule based on store needs
Proficient with 10 key
