Job Summary:
The Cashier / Busser is responsible for assisting with various tasks in the restaurant, including cashier duties, bussing tables, and ensuring cleanliness. This role may involve working at Ed & Mully’s in the Village, Summit House on the summit of Big Mountain, or the Base Lodge at the bottom of Chair 6.
Job Relationships:
- Reports to: Outlet Manager
- Employees Supervised: None
Job Specifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively under high-stress conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills
Specific Duties:
- Stock condiment areas regularly
- Set up service line according to opening checklist
- Operate cash register efficiently and accurately
- Inform supervisor of any food shortages or spoilage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area
- Provide courteous and efficient service to guests
- Bus and reset tables as needed
- Report any issues or feedback to supervisor
- Conduct hourly bathroom checks and cleanings
- Adhere to Health Department regulations
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures
- Establish positive relationships with guests and coworkers
- Emphasize safety in all activities
Work Environment:
- Moderate physical activity, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Extended periods of standing and bending
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals; proper training provided
- Flexibility in schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to travel to work locations under varying weather conditions
