What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal - Commercial Lending position at Winthrop & Weinstine?
Winthrop & Weinstine is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Paralegal to work in our Commercial Lending Department. We're seeking an individual with strong attention to detail who can prioritize the workload for busy attorneys. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a close-knit team provides a challenging opportunity and an enjoyable workplace. The responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Handle title and survey review and coordinate revisions/finalizing with title company and surveyor.
- Draft initial drafts of loan documents and amendments to loan documents.
- Draft closing instruction letters.
- Review due diligence including Uniform Commercial Code searches, organizational documents and insurance certificates.
- Update/maintain closing checklists and monitor due diligence sites for purposes of pulling/saving the same and updating checklists accordingly.
- Act as a liaison between attorney and client, facilitating communication and transmittal of necessary information.
