What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Warehouse Operator (afternoons) position at Winzer Corp?
SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, is responsible for accurately and timely picking products on all orders received daily, stocking products received daily, and other material handling/general warehouse duties. Works part-time afternoons and ability to work until job completed each day.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Entry level position
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Basic math skills
- Basic English skills, such as reading
- Detail oriented
- Ability to operate hand-held scanner and pen pad
- Ability to operate counting scale accurately
- Ability to communicate with management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Pick products from primary locations, confirming part number and quantity
- Packing products for shipping
- Bag, label, and seal products
- Stock product, confirming part number and quantity
- Assist in cycle counting
- Clean and maintain work area daily including shelves and floors
- Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties
OTHER DUTIES:
- General labor for material handling assignments
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch
- Lift, lower, carry product up to 50 lbs
- Warehouse environment – work in hot/cold temperatures through the seasons
