Student Success Coordinator (FT, VLD)

Under the leadership of the Dean and or Director for Student Success and Enrollment Management, provides
enrollment, academic advising, and retention support services for a diverse student population. The
enrollment, advisement, and retention processes include, but are not limited to, orienting students to
Wiregrass’s academic structure and policies; assisting prospects and students with admissions processes,
registration related issues and processes, comprehensive academic planning, and financial aid; and referring
students to professional support services offered through Wiregrass and the service area. Student Success
Coordinators also function as part of a team to serve students assigned by academic programs. The
successful candidate will coordinate campus-based and online new student orientation activities and
participate in recruitment activities. Other duties may be assigned by the Dean and or Director for Student
Success, or the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS
- Equipment Used: Standard office equipment.
- Working Conditions: Category III - No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens.
Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major
Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency
recognized by the United States Department of Education *and* Three (3) years of related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to meeting all other minimum qualifications, the highly desired candidate will possess one or more
of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Knowledge of and experience with BANNER,
DegreeWorks, and Navigate (remove Navigate and replace with Target X). Experience with Microsoft Office
Suite. Prior experience serving as an academic advisor in a post-secondary educational setting.
SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary is $45,500/yr. This position is full‐time and includes standard State of GA benefits such as leave
accrual, options for health & other supplemental benefits, and retirement. This position may qualify the
successful candidate for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. This position is funded in whole or in
part by State/Local/Tuition funds.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS
Pursuant to college policy, a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history records check and
employment history reference checks will be performed for all candidates offered employment. Other checks
such as Motor Vehicle Records may be conducted for any candidate receiving an offer, as well as internal
candidates prior to being promoted or transferred into a position with the college. Other Required Tests: No
additional tests are required for this position.
