JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating, verifying and processing outbound and inbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate receipt and delivery of products. This role requires attentions to deal, strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
JOB DUTIES/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)
Prepare and verify shipping and receiving documents to ensure accuracy.
Communicate with the warehouse staff, carriers and drivers to manage the dock schedule, minimizing wait time for drivers.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory receipts of materials, and discrepancies using Wis-Pak software
Manage daily load log, ensuring timely shipments and receipts, escalating issue to management
Answer phone and CB for shipping / receiving in a professional manner
Organize and maintain all shipping records, paperwork and documentation.
Scan the receivers for purchases product to CN on a daily basis.
Communicate with production personnel regarding product shortages, production status, new orders, or changes
Follow all company established clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all safety and sanitization regulations
JOB DUTIES/ MARGINAL FUNCTIONS (Not fundamental job duties)
Accumulate and print other information as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires high school educations or equivalent
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail
Problem solving skills
Requires basic computer skills
General knowledge of warehouse procedures
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on an infrequent basis
Basic mathematical and writing skills
Requires the ability to work will with others
Must be able to read, write and speak in the English language.
