Role Summary:
The Business Continuity (BC) and Enterprise Business Resiliency (BR) Analyst will be reporting directly to the Vice President of Enterprise Risk and Business Solutions who manages the organization’s BC/BR Program. This position will support business continuity and resiliency projects that help to mitigate risks related to people, data, property, and business operations. The analyst is responsible for assisting with incident management and enterprise continuity management. This position is critical to ensure WPS’ readiness in the event of a crisis or significant business interruption and working closely in collaboration with IT infrastructure and security teams during disaster recovery preparation exercises (Tabletop, TTX) and actual events.
Salary Range
$63,800-$87,400 annually

This role may require some work out of our Madison, WI headquarters; first consideration will be individuals located near Madison Wisconsin to take advantage of Hybrid collaboration.
In this role you will:
- Regularly and proactively engage staff within all levels of the organization.
- Assist with the coordination of the Business Continuity and Business Resiliency Program.
- Lead the facilitation of annual reviews of BC/BR processes, systems, and program documentation.
- Lead the creation of third-party risk analyses as requested.
- Assist with annual reviews of disaster recovery processes, systems and program documentation.
- Analyze complex business problems and develop Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation (SBAR) documents or similar deliverables to aid decision-making.
- In collaboration with the VP of Enterprise Risk, and as the program lead, develop, implement, and support enterprise-wide business resiliency policies, standards, plans, and operational support platforms for hazard events.
- Develop and incorporate best practices; execute training standards and program for business continuity management and enterprise resiliency.
- Assist staff in Disaster Recovery operations with supporting business units on incident and crisis management and helping coordinate disaster recovery planning, as requested.
- Maintain summarized and detailed metrics on business continuity management, readiness, crisis and incident reporting, disaster recovery and perform gap analysis and controls assurance program reviews as necessary in areas critical to the operational effectiveness of WPS, such as Business Impact Analyses (BIA).
- Work directly with outside incident management professional organizations and local/ regional/ national incident response groups that participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management.
- Conduct and/or participate in departmental self-assessments to identify areas for improvement and potential areas of risk such as Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and BIAs.
- Monitor resolution of identified issues and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
- Facilitate annual or more frequent business continuity exercises.
- Participate in disaster recovery drills or exercises as assigned.
- Promote BC/BR standards throughout the organization.
- Serve as the program lead and primary liaison for BC/BR with all functional areas of the organization and other corporate IT, security, safety and emergency-oriented programs.
- Collaborate with leaders from regulatory compliance programs to assure that the continuity and resiliency program complies with federal, regional, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate and facilitate business continuity and resiliency awareness training to all staff on an annual, or if necessary, a more frequent basis.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to establish a strategy for operational continuity in the event of a disruption with strategic and/or critical vendors
- Partner with the Disaster Recovery team to create synergies between the two areas

- Have strong experience or skill to produce solution assessment and validation (assess proposed solution, allocate requirements, assess organizational readiness, define temporary requirements, validate solution, evaluate solution performance).
- Have superb skills in stakeholder management that includes relationship building and negotiation.
- Have strong group facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently, requiring only strategic rather than regular, tactical direction.

You need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.
- 1 or more years of related work experience within the Risk, Business Continuity and Enterprise Business Resiliency arenas.
We also prefer:
- 3 or more years of related work experience in an enterprise level Business Continuity (BC) and Enterprise Business Resiliency role.
- Knowledge of business continuity or resiliency disaster recovery technologies and best practices.
- Practical working knowledge of consulting and industry methodologies that support effective Business Continuity Management program development.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, Word.
