Under general supervision of the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent or Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance work on mechanical machinery and food service equipment at the Stanley Correctional Institution. Work involves the inspection and analysis of equipment, malfunctions, and the repair of appliances, heating, ventilating, fuel storage and delivery systems and related equipment. This position provides supervision and training of inmates in mechanical maintenance and repair work assignments; trains, leads, and directs other staff in maintenance activities. The incumbent will also assist other maintenance personnel with assigned tasks, research equipment and parts required, and complete purchase requisitions. Successful execution of the tasks involved with this position requires working at elevated levels and working in confined spaces at times.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.04 per hour
