The Ideal Candidate:
(1) Critical Care Technician/Assistant
The applicant must have horse handling experience and a basic knowledge of equine behavior. Previous technician experience preferred. Ability to work well both independently and as a team player. Great attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to a changing fast paced environment.
Critical Care Position Responsibilities Include:
Preparing, updating, completing patient treatment and medical record- medical knowledge preferred.
Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit.
IVC placement and administering fluid therapy.
Admitting and discharging patients.
Maintaining up to date billing and up to date patient charting as prescribed by treatment plan.
Assisting DVM's in patient diagnostics, treatment, and procedures.
Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, set up and use.
Collection and handling laboratory samples, including inhouse laboratory procedure such as CBC/Chem/SAA/fecal testing/IGG/PRP
Maintaining and stocking areas of the hospital.
Helping in other areas of the Hospital if staffing is required.
Availability-Must be flexible to work occasional holidays, weekend shift, and on-call.
Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, on their feet for long periods of time, must be able to bend down, kneel, squat, and be able to lift 40 pounds.

Anticipated Schedule :
30-40 hours per week. Shift schedule may vary week to week. Typically 10 hour shifts, but some 8hr or 6hr shifts can occur based on need.
Our Clinic provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Premium hourly differential paid for Holidays, and 3erd shift.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
