Position Requirements:

Master’s degree in psychology or a counseling-related field

Wisconsin licensure for counseling

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully and positively with parents, staff, and students in a school environment is required

Position Overview:
The Mental and Emotional Health Advisor focuses on providing emotional guidance, mental health support, and faith based counseling to students as they navigate academic, social and personal challenges.
Position Responsibilities:

Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional counseling standards.

Develop and implement mental health programs that integrate faith-based perspectives.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to identify and support students in need.

Provide crisis, individual and group interventions as appropriate

Provide resources and materials for teachers
-
Provide professional development for staff and training for school community members
-
Perform data analysis to identify student issues, needs and challenges.

provide classroom-based lessons on specific topics

small group counseling for a specific amount of time

Assist in conflict resolution

Provide individual counseling for students for a limited time

Make referral for long-term support

Collaborate with families, administration, and community providers and agencies.

Advocate for students at student focused meeting and at a schoolwide level

Provide leadership and support in crisis intervention.
