Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced part-time Phlebotomist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our patient care process by performing venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples for diagnostic testing and analysis. Your expertise in blood collection procedures and patient interaction will ensure accurate and efficient specimen processing, contributing directly to our mission of improving patient health through functional medicine practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Opening the lab each morning
- Performing venipuncture and capillary punctures with precision and compassion (approx. every 15 minutes) for all age groups
- Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for diagnostic testing
- Maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety/infection control standards
- Ensuring proper documentation of procedures and maintaining accurate records in the EHR
- Assisting with inventory and stocking of phlebotomy-related supplies
- Providing exceptional patient care and comfort during procedures
- Collaborating with medical assistants, nurses, and providers to ensure seamless patient flow
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming lab area
- Wear a designated uniform while representing WIFM’s professional image
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Flexibility to work alternative hours as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques
- Familiarity with specimen handling, labeling, and lab protocols
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and specimen handling.

Compensation:
- $20.00 - $24.00/hour
