Responsibilities:
- Independently develop budgets for conceptual, schematic, and design development phases.
- Lead bid opportunities for General contractors and Design-Build projects.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement and manage the buyout process.
- Supervise take-offs at all levels, applying unit prices were needed.
- Review plans to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain up-to-date unit pricing and historical cost databases.
- Lead value engineering efforts to optimize costs throughout the project.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with both clients and subcontractors.
- Work with a bid team to level and define trade scopes on larger projects.
- Ensure appropriate subcontractor coverage by reaching out as needed.
- Mentor and guide Cost Engineers in their development.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the estimating process.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Understand contract types and apply them appropriately.
- Demonstrate expertise in writing scopes of work and preparing level bids.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all costs associated with both current and future projects.
- Estimate costs that may not be readily apparent or visible.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in managing commercial construction projects.
- Proven expertise in Estimating, including cost analysis, budgeting, bidding, and value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Skilled in Procurement, managing supplier negotiations, contract execution, and supply chain coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective material acquisition.
- Bachelor's degree required.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
