Key responsibilities of a Roll Off Driver : Operating the truck : Safely driving a roll-off truck to designated customer locations, maneuvering in tight spaces, and navigating different road conditions. Loading and unloading containers : Physically attaching and detaching roll-off containers to the truck using hydraulic lift mechanisms, ensuring proper securing of containers during transport. Route management : Following assigned routes, managing pick-up and drop-off schedules, and communicating with dispatch regarding any issues. Pre-trip and post-trip inspections : Performing thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift to ensure safety and proper functionality of the truck and loading equipment. Customer service : Interacting with customers at pick-up and drop-off points, addressing any concerns regarding container placement and waste disposal.
