Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a premier addiction treatment facility. The RN will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. This is a contract position for a 12-hour night shift, with the primary focus on addiction recovery and management.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care for individuals with addiction issues, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and care.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patient vital signs, assess physical and emotional health, and document changes.
Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and support during challenging patient behaviors.
Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment plans, and recovery.
Respond to medical emergencies and take appropriate action as needed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including documentation standards.
Work collaboratively with other staff members in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar field, preferably in addiction or psychiatric nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification is a plus, but training will be provided on-site if needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards individuals struggling with addiction.
Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts.
