Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Addiction Treatment Facility

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a premier addiction treatment facility. The RN will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. This is a contract position for a 12-hour night shift, with the primary focus on addiction recovery and management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for individuals with addiction issues, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess physical and emotional health, and document changes.
• Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and support during challenging patient behaviors.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment plans, and recovery.
• Respond to medical emergencies and take appropriate action as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including documentation standards.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar field, preferably in addiction or psychiatric nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification is a plus, but training will be provided on-site if needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards individuals struggling with addiction.
• Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts.
