Responsibilities:

• Planning Machining: Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings to plan machining tasks.
• Inventory Management: Check stock to determine availability, anticipate needed stock, and place orders as necessary.
• Programming Mills and Lathes: Enter instructions, including zero and reference points, to set up the machining process.
• Machine Set-Up: Install and adjust chucks, tools, and attachments in mills and lathes.
• Loading Feed Mechanism: Lift stock into position, ensuring proper alignment.
• Quality Verification: Measure positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Operating Procedures: Observe drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations to maintain quality.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Complete preventive maintenance requirements to keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Shift Coordination: Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documentation: Complete production and quality logs to track operations and ensure adherence to standards.
• Continued Learning: Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and engaging in ongoing training.

Requirements:

• Experience: Ability to operate CNC mills required.
• Technical Skills: Great computer and technical skills to handle complex machinery and software.
• Attention to Detail: Good attention to detail to detect and correct errors or inconsistencies.
• Teamwork: Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Self-Motivation: Must be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and managing time efficiently.
