Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Forklift Operator/Inventory Puller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock counts, and supporting supply chain operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems to optimize inventory control processes.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles
- Stacking: Stack and unstack goods onto pallets or shelves
- Moving: Move materials around a facility using pallets and crates
- Inspecting: Check the forklift for faults or damage, and perform basic maintenance
- Documenting: Complete forms, maintain records, and report issues
- Safety: Follow health and safety regulations, and ensure the driving area is free of obstructions
- Packaging: Use industrial wraps and pallets to package goods for transport
- Labeling: Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments
- Inventory: Count and record the number of units moved, and inventory products
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and manage stock levels effectively.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely replenishment of materials and products.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
- Support materials management by coordinating with suppliers and internal departments for inventory needs.
- Participate in cycle counts and assist in physical inventories as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience
- Physical strength, agility, and dexterity
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Good hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision
- Ability to read and understand safety guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Walking floor/pulling inventory from racks
- Forklift experience
- Computer/tablet skills desired
