What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Human Resources Generalist position at Wisenbaker Builder Services, Inc.?
Job Purpose
We’re looking for an Sr. HR Generalist to join us in supporting our most valuable asset—our people. As an Sr. HR Generalist, you will play a key role in managing various HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance. You will work closely with management and employees to ensure a smooth HR process that supports the company’s goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility and discretion, people-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the completion and proper documentation of all activities associated with new hire orientation (on boarding session).
- Ensures all personnel documents (insurance, employee relations, etc.) are properly routed and maintained for reference in employee electronic files for both active and termed employees.
- Create claims for auto accidents, workers compensation and follow the claim through completion, in constant communication with the appropriate parties.
- Responsible for OSHA logs at each location. This includes the preparation and maintenance of the log and annual reporting.
- Coordinate and conduct first time WBS manager training. This includes time keeping, PTO best practices, personnel change notifications, proper term processes, etc.
- Respond to and follow up on TWC claims.
- Working knowledge of DOT policies and practices so to keep company drivers compliant.
- Responsible for navigating through HR Payroll system to reference employee information.
- Lead the location’s chapter of the culture team. Actively participate in the creation, organization and implementation of culture team activities and events as well as nominating new members as the opportunity to do so presents itself.
- Work closely with the location’s leadership to provide support for all employees within the location.
- Conduct exit interviews with exiting team members.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- 3-5 years of progressive human resources experience, manufacturing an environment strongly preferred owning a customer group
- Bi-lingual is preferred for some locations (manufacturing locations)
- Knowledge of local and federal laws (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, Worker’s Comp, TWC, etc)
- Must be a self -starter and self -managed individual.
- Ability to provide outstanding employee customer service.
