Part-time Nanny

A loving family is seeking a warm, reliable and a confident nanny to care for their 8-month-old baby boy. Ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development and committed to providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the little one.

They are also a dog-friendly household with two friendly dogs, so it’s important that the nanny enjoys being around pets. While dog care isn’t a primary responsibility, may occasionally ask for help watching the dogs during baby care.

Schedule: any 3 days in a week from Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Salary: $25-$30/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive care for the 8-month-old, including feeding, diapering, and engaging in age-appropriate activities.
• Plan and implement sensory play and educational activities to foster developmental milestones.
• Maintain a structured routine for naps and sleep, offering tips and guidance on establishing good sleep habits.
• Prepare homemade baby food, ensuring healthy and nutritious meals.
• Engage in minimal screen time—focus on interactive, hands-on play to promote learning.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the baby at all times, especially in situations requiring quick thinking and calm decision-making.
• Occasionally assist with light pet care (dogs).

Requirements:

• Over 3 years of professional child care experience, particularly with infants.
• Self starters, able to implement care plans without out needing direction from the families
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with parents.
• Must be confident, strong, and physically capable of caring for and carrying a baby.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with sensory play and early childhood education is preferred.
• Must love dogs and feel comfortable being in a pet-friendly home.
• Ability to provide tips on sleep training and baby care routines is a plus.
• Ability to prepare baby food and maintain a clean, organized environment.

Preferred (but not required):

• Background in early childhood education or teaching.
• First aid and CPR certification.
