Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who has 24/7 accountability for assigned areas under the direct supervision of their Clinical Director as demonstrated by a solid or dotted line reporting relationship. This position is responsible for daily operation of their assigned areas, which includes focusing on clinical and managerial responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives of the department set-forth by Director, Executive Director, or VP through collaboration and teamwork with team members, physicians, and leadership. This individual demonstrates core competencies within the discipline of Nursing and business aspects as related to patient care. This position is required as part of the core job duties to provide direct nursing care to patients during times of census fluctuation, unfilled vacancies, and increased patient needs. The Clinical Manager creates and communicates the vision in moving employees to a new way of thinking and working. This position integrates the deliver of direct patient care within the Witham Health Services philosophy in all aspects of the job performance and interpersonal relationships. This position has the authority to act in the absence of the Clinical Director and serves as the incident commander until a higher authority arrives onsite.
Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school (NLN or CCNE) of nursing program, Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher preferred.
- Must hold a valid license to practice Nursing in the State of Indiana and appropriate certifications related to patient population, as assigned (i.e.BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) Must have three (3) years previous clinical experience with expertise in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Must have 1 year in previous supervisory experience.
