Job Description: -
· Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Works under general supervision developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.
· Develops required specifications simple to moderately complex problem.
· Establishing and recommending the implementation of consistent records management practices/plans/programs, including inventory and file plan creation, and execution of retention, disposition and digitization according to approved record schedules.
· Developing and managing project schedules, coordinating requests, resolving conflicts.
· Applying and recommending business and project management guidelines to assigned programs. Improving the management of records in compliance with the Federal Records Act.
· Implementing test plans using diverse troubleshooting computer applications.
· Interacting, or serving as liaison, between HQ and other Lines of Business (LOB) offices (e.g., branch, regional, division offices) to accomplish assigned tasks, and provide solutions to management to improve and update business operations.
· Developing automation tests and maintenance tasks.
· Performing coordination and integration activities among supervisors, managers, and senior-level administrative staff for areas such RM, information management, analysis, logistics.
· Identifying and recommending an integrated approach to electronic records management that preserves the integrity of records, protects against loss, is sustainable throughout the records lifecycle, and manages records in accordance with applicable Federal law and statutes, regulations, directives and policies.
· Ensuring official file plans are current and reviewed/updated annually.
· Reviewing, verifying, and updating general-purpose standard operating procedures.
· Creating and recommending agency-wide guidance on file naming conventions and standards.
· Ensuring records control schedules are updated, media neutral, and are cross walked to the GRS providing the most efficient records schedules to meet the mission.
· Developing memorandums, reports and slides for executive briefings, internal team meetings and external stakeholder briefings including understanding of the context of the most important priorities.
· Ensuring the software packages contain no errors by analyzing development data.
· Reviewing, verifying and updating content to ensure it meets criteria for content accessibility (e.g., 508 compliant), preservation of information (i.e., records retention), re-usability, validation, and tracking.
· Identifying, assessing, and working with stakeholders to schedule and apply lifecycle controls to legacy IT systems, file shares, and storage locations to ensure compliance.
· Exploring the use of advanced technologies to facilitate cost effective, automated electronic records solutions that enhance work productivity, including the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
· Improving the management of records and reducing risk through modernized paperless business processes, the application of technology, and site assistance.
