Job Summary:
An inventory control coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient flow of inventory within an organization. They ensure that inventory levels are maintained optimally, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory, while also contributing to cost-effective operations. This role will also have Warehouse duties including shipping & receiving.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Stock Level Optimization & Demand Forecasting: Analyzing inventory levels to determine optimal stock quantities and reorder points. Forecasting future demand for products or materials to ensure adequate inventory levels. Oversee and lead stock reduction efforts for field-based tech vans.
2. Cycle Counting & Inventory Reconciliation: Conducting regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies. Along with reconciling inventory records with physical counts to ensure accuracy. Research and address all inventory related issues in the warehouse and in the field.
3. Shipping & Receiving: Maintain accurate shipping & freight records, file and follow through on shipping claims, set up freight shipments and prepare shipping documents as needed. Process3PL orders, main liaison between Charlotte 3PL & IST for shipments and pick up requests. Process tech-mate orders as necessary from ordering agent requests. Cover for the Logistical Warehouse Manager as needed to handle the FL Region.
4. Installation Support: Verify receipt of equipment on a job by job basis, maintains control over job inventories, disposition of customer equipment returned from jobs, update pick list in sales force for each state of the job until completion, research all job related issues & provide feedback as necessary to Sales Admin.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Inventory Management Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in inventory management, supply chain management, or a related field are required.
Education and Training
- Forklift certification required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
· Able to effectively communicate with customer base of internal and external customers, both orally and in writing.
· Able to properly lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, up to 5 pounds frequently. The highest point of any lift – overhead; the lowest point of any lift – the floor.
· Able to move up to 25 pounds occasionally, up to 5 pounds frequently.
· Able to sit continuously, up to 8 hours per day.
· Must be able to manipulate small objects with close eye-hand and arm-hand coordination for entire shift.
· Able to perform motor skills such as grasping, finger manipulation, pinching, bending, reaching out, twisting, turning, reaching up, wrist turning/torquing continuously for entire shift.
· Able to see objects closely, discriminate colors, perceive depth continuously.
· Able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over long periods of time continuously.
