The Director of Information Systems is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the Information Systems (IS) department to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Lead a team of IS professionals to ensure smooth operation of all technology systems.
- Provide information processing, systems counseling, and guidance to management personnel throughout the organization.
- Plan and control department staffing, development, organization, hardware acquisitions, and facilities to align with the corporate business plan.
- Direct the design, development, and maintenance of systems, telecommunication systems, programs, and systems software to meet management's information needs.
- Establish IS policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations while safeguarding information resources.
- Administer the department's expense budget within budgetary guidelines to contribute to the cost-effective operation of the organization.
- Maintain knowledge of advancements in systems and hardware and incorporate new developments into future systems.
- Communicate effectively within all levels of the organization in a leadership role.
- Develop incentive compensation programs for individuals and departments to foster continuous improvement aligned with the corporate strategic plan.
- Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the IS department and across the organization.
