Responsibilities:
As our Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward. You’ll work closely with leadership to:
- Prepare Accurate Bids: Analyze blueprints and bid documents, and use estimating software to provide detailed and timely bids. Define scope of work, generate RFIs, research materials and pricing.
- Manage Leads and Sales Channels: Source and prioritize leads, build relationships with customers, and explore new project opportunities.
- Oversee Bid Processes: Conduct post-bid follow-ups to secure contracts.
- Coordinate Project Details: Once a bid is approved, organize all project aspects for production, project management, and accounting. Attend weekly project review meetings, oversee team and project schedules, ensure adherence to timelines, and effectively communicate any change orders or issues.
- Administration: Complete weekly progress reports for assigned area of business, participate in weekly project review meetings, manage estimating calendar, i.e. scheduling meetings, managing deadlines, overseeing deliverables, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Experience and/or strong understanding of estimating, construction procedures, materials and project management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; On-Screen Takeoff experience a plus
- Detail-oriented, logical problem-solver, team player with leadership potential, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
