Vivie seeks a Clinical Education Coordinator who will be responsible for the planning and implementation of clinical education that meet regulatory and education requirements for licensed and unlicensed nursing staff. This position will be based out of Cambridge, MN.
Schedule:
Part-Time, 3 days a week, 48 hours per pay period
Qualifications:
Education: Current RN licensure with the State of Minnesota in good standing. Current BLS Certification. Current BLS Instructor Certification or the ability to obtain.
Preferred Experience: Adult education and training experience preferred. Project management experience preferred. Long-term care preferred. Electronic health record use and training experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively with community and shared services leadership in planning educational programs to meet regulatory and educational requirements.
- Monitor performance and educational needs of nursing staff. Adapt training methods to address varying learning styles.
- Provide skills training to any nursing employee that is deficient in skills addressed on the orientation checklist prior to the individual being allowed to perform the task(s) with a resident.
- Develop materials and implement education for new clinical services initiatives with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, or QI/Education.
- Act as an electronic health record super-user. Support QI/Education team in initial and ongoing training.
- Complete review of clinical staff in their provision of resident care.
- Maintain files of lesson plans for education programs provided. Work with QI/Education team to record attendance of internal and external education programs and in-services into Relias (Learning Management System).
- Participate as a member of the Safety Committee to identify employee training needs.
- Participate as a member of the QA&A committee. Report to committee on infection control and employee education.
- Complete assessments and update care plans in accordance with state, federal and Walker Methodist requirements.
