What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Tech position at Wm T Burnett?
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to audit product quality.
- Inspect goods and products according to quality and safety standards.
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Ensure production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
- Responsible to create and maintain Certificates of Compliance for customers.
- Conduct internal audits and perform quality lab testing.
- Audit work-in-progress for specification compliance.
- Requires the use of lab equipment for multiple types of testing.
- Must be able to work with little supervision and adapt to change in direction, as needed.
- Ability to work different shifts, as required.
PHYSICIAL DEMANDS:
- Involves walking up and down stairs, walking, bending, stooping, and be able to lift 20lbs on a regular basis

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Ability to read and interpret charts used for process control.
- Ability to use a calculator
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
