We are currently recruiting for a Medical Assistant to join our Harlem Rd. location in Cheektowaga. If you are in the business of providing exceptional patient care and being part of an exceptional team, then we would like to meet you!
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible to work 4 ten-hour shifts at our Harlem Professional Park location with the flexibility to cover the Niagara Professional Park location on occasion. This role will require you to have a compassionate and kind approach, excellent patient care, exemplary verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to support the providers and your fellow co-workers within the departments.
Responsibilities:
- Check vitals and reconcile medications.
- Enter and update medical history within the EMR (Medent).
- Assist physicians with procedures as needed, under direct supervision.
- Set up procedures for both physicians and nursing staff.
- Communicate relevant information regarding patients and situations to provide individualized care.
- Blood draw coverage as needed
- Stock and clean exam and procedure rooms daily or as needed.
- Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate conduct at all times.
- Maintain the office Code of Conduct and HIPAA policies.
- Maintain OSHA Standards, Infection Control, and Regulated Medical Waste policies.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in Medent preferred but not required.
- Degree in medical assisting or 1 year experience working as a medical assistant required.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
