What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel and Tank Maintenance Technician position at WOC Maintenance LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician assists with the operation, maintenance, and building of fuel storage and distribution systems.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain gas dispensers, submersible pumps, monitoring systems, as well as various piping components.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of fuel receiving, transport, storage, and distribution systems.
- Review tank cleaning, integrity, and proper coating procedures.
- Follow schematics, diagrams, blueprints, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Inspect and replace hoses, valves, pumps, etc.
- Weld and fabricate parts and machinery as required.
- Provide technical information to customers.
- Work with all company personnel in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following is required: electric, wielding, plumbing, pipefitting, fabrication.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Noise level in the work environmental is normally moderate but can be loud. Duties are performed indoors and outdoors and exposure to weather will occur. Most work will be performed during daytime hours Monday – Friday, with occasional required nights, weekends and overtime. Travel required as necessary.
