Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with clients, Construction Manager, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, and governmental agencies.
  • Assist with setting up job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
  • Participate in the review of all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings.
  • Maintain and update project records including RFI’s, ASI’s and as-builts.
  • Assist with creating and enforcing a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate subcontractors.
  • Coordinate building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports.
  • Conduct and/or attend Forman meetings, pre-task meeting, safety meetings and project staff meetings.
  • Assist with the management of job site manpower production and performance.
  • Use project management and scheduling software effectively.
  • Attend company and industry events including meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
  • Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions to effectively resolve problems.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent work experience in construction required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Foreman, or equivalent role, in the construction industry.
  • Must possess OSHA certification or be willing to obtain all mandated certifications.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access and inspect all areas of job site in all types of weather.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
