As a Cabinetmaker at Wohali Builders, LLC, you will be responsible for creating custom cabinets tailored to the unique needs and specifications of our clients. You will work from blueprints and design plans to construct and assemble cabinets with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinet making and woodworking, with a proven track record of producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Cabinet Construction: Construct custom cabinets from various materials. Ensure all pieces meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design plans to accurately construct cabinets and related components.
- Material Selection: Select appropriate materials based on project requirements, ensuring the highest quality and durability.
- Tool and Equipment Use: Utilize a variety of woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, sanders, and drills. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Finishing: Apply finishes such as staining, painting, or varnishing to enhance the appearance and longevity of the cabinets.
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure completed work to ensure it meets design specifications and quality standards. Capable of making adjustments as needed.
- Installation (Preferred): If applicable, install cabinets and trim at client locations, ensuring proper fit and alignment. Address any issues or adjustments required during installation.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, designers, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met and to address any concerns or changes.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in cabinet making or a related field. Experience in custom cabinetry is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including cabinet construction, finishing, and installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Tools and Equipment: Experience using woodworking tools and machinery. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in cabinetmaking.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality craftsmanship.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the construction and installation processes.
