Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the dishwashing station and surrounding kitchen spaces.
- Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by culinary staff, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Support the kitchen team by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices.
- Participate in regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and removing trash from the kitchen area.
Skills
- Experience in food handling or working in a hospitality setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with culinary terms and practices related to food preparation is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
