ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Complete material take-offs for structural and miscellaneous steel. * Working up and completing accurate estimates. * Review design drawings and specifications using discretion, best judgment and evaluation of industry standards and practices to minimize various possibilities of risk. * Coordinate with other estimators, sub-contractors, and vendors to make sure that the full scope of a project is covered. * Entering and maintaining project information into sales software. * Research upcoming projects and aid in developing customer base. * Prompt and dependable attendance. * Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES * Must have general computer experience along with experience using a spreadsheet and word processing programs. * Ability to read and understand plans and specs. * Good communication skills. * EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE * High School Diploma or GED required. * Associate’s Degree in Architectural Drafting and Estimating or equivalent experience in a related field. * Two to three years related experience
