Pay Rate:
Pay rate starts at $20-24/hr. (based on experience) plus overtime. Position is paid bi-weekly as W2 employee.

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Position is full time seasonal from May through August. Start and end dates can be flexible dependent on show requirements
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide critical support and for the opera company in the realm of audio and some visual applications. Work directly with the Director of Production to setup audio assets for recitals, opera recordings, and orchestra/singer audio/video foldback support. Support Wolf Trap Opera activity in the Barns and CFE during their summer season. Evenings and weekends, dependent on production schedules, will be required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Director of Production in prepping recording equipment for Wolf Trap Opera.
- Assist in providing Audio/Video support for orchestra and singer foldback systems.
- Setup mics and desks, when needed, at the direction of the Director of Production to support various projects during the summer opera season.
- Help to maintain, clean, and repair audio gear as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have working knowledge of Live and/or Recorded Audio reinforcement.
- Basic knowledge of classical music and production.
- Basic familiarity with Allen & Heath dLive desks a plus.
- Understanding and experience with Reaper or similar DAW software.
- Sensitivity and commitment to the mission of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
- Minimum 1 year of studio support, live support, or related music experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend and reach with arms up to 50 percent of the time.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment (i.e. calculator, copier, printer, etc.)
