Radiation Therapist – Full-Time – $12,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Join our team as a Radiation Therapist and make a meaningful impact in cancer care. We have full-time opportunities available at multiple locations, each offering a $12,000 sign-on bonus.
📍 Locations & Schedules:
- Lynn Cancer Institute – Boynton Beach | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Full-Time)
- Key West | Full-Time, Shift Varies
- Miami Cancer Institute | Full-Time, Shift Varies
💰 Sign-On Bonus: $12,000!
⏳ Schedule: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
- Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Position patients and align equipment to ensure accurate treatment delivery
- Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions or unusual responses
- Maintain detailed records of treatments administered and patient progress
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies
- Assist in the training and mentoring of new radiation therapy staff members
Qualifications
Requirements:
✔ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
✔ ARRT Certification (T) in Radiation Therapy
✔ Current Florida State Licensure as a Radiation Therapist
✔ BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
✔ Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation therapy preferred
✔ Proficiency in operating linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
✔ Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures
✔ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
✔ Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
✔ Demonstrated commitment to patient care and compassion
✔ Physical ability to lift and position patients, and stand for extended periods
✔ Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
✔ Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Advanced certification in specialized radiation therapy techniques (e.g., SBRT, IMRT)
✔ Experience with treatment planning software
✔ Familiarity with quality assurance procedures in radiation oncology
