Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. is one of the largest independent Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC distributors in America. We are looking for a Shipping/Dispatch to add to our growing team at our Akron location.
Job title: Shipping / Dispatch Associate
Schedule: 7AM - 5:15PM
Reports to: Operations Manager

Summary of Job Duties:

Summary of Job Duties:
- Oversee driver routes and track delivery and status of orders
- Keep work area in neat and clean condition
- Proactively address driver problems and errors and provide solutions
- Proactively address and assess situations of driver breakdowns and/or accidents
- Handle changes to delivery orders and paperwork
- Track and keep current files on all future deliveries
- Act as a backup to the shipping belt as needed
- Assess and handle transfer shortages from break messages
- Work with all branches with deliveries and any problems that arise
- Aid drivers with material for loading trucks
- Cancel orders and restock the mezz material when needed.
- Restock supplies as needed
- Aid the sales department with delivery arrangements and any problems that arise
Shipping Belt Specific Duties
- Keep shipping area in neat and clean condition
- Ensure that baskets are organized
- Handle shipping belt orders; tag and stage all transfers and deliveries
- Prepare morning baskets
- Pick up skid orders from the mezzanine and make sure all transfer material is on a skid
- Prepare boxes
- Highlight consolidators for special instructions
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Job Requirements/Expectations:
- Previous dispatch experience preferred
- Previous warehouse experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 Ibs. regularly
