Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the general ledger function, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes for multiple entities simultaneously.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Manage the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all state and local regulations.
- Prepare and post payroll journal entries, ensuring accurate recording of payroll transactions, including wages, benefits, PTO, taxes, and deductions.
- Manage the preparation of tip allocations, ensuring fair and accurate distribution of tips among eligible employees in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting roles
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet job requirements and deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
